The tournament will be open to both juniors and adults.

Rate of Play: 60 min. / player / game plus 30 sec. per move from move one
Ratings: FIDE / ACF / QJ rated.
Forfeiture time: 30 minutes from schedule start
Byes: 2 half point byes may be taken in rounds 1 to 5, BYE requests in advance should be emailed to info.marschessclub@gmail.com
Tie Break Method: 1.Direst Encounter; 2.Buchholz Median; 3.Buchholz Total; 4.Sum of Progressive Scores.

Eligibility and Membership Requirements:
Open to adults and juniors, there are no restrictions on the participants. However, foreign players will need to obtain a FIDE ID number from their National Federation and advise that number prior to their entry being accepted.
Players must be members of their respective state associations. Queensland players must be financial members of the Chess Association of Queensland (CAQ).

Entry Fees:
Early: $100 (End 25 October)
Standard: $120
$20 discount for all Churchie students
Free: GM / IM / WGM / WIM
FM / CM (50% discount if booked by 25 October)

Prize ($3100+):
1st: $1000 + Trophy
2nd: $600 + Trophy
3rd: $400 + Trophy
Rating group A: $300
Rating group B: $300
Rating group C: $300
Unrated: $200
Medals for top 3 in U8 / U10 / U12 / U18
In case of a tie, the Tournament titles and trophies will be decided on tie-break but all prize money for placings will be evenly split.
