AGM Rockets Basketball
Dear Runcorn Rockets members,
I hope you are all enjoying the break. The month of April is the time when we have to hold our AGM.
As Runcorn Rockets is a not for profit association there are certain requirements we must fulfill very year such as getting all our accounts audited and hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM is open to all registered members of Runcorn Rockets, and we encourage everyone to attend and consider nominating themselves for a position on the committee. Your involvement in the committee is crucial, but even if you don't have the time to take on a committee position, we may still be reaching out to you for help and support throughout the year.
Just a snap shot of our club from last year 2023:
• A total of over 1,300 registrations with us over 2023
• We took 20 players to Taiwan to play against some great competition and attend school in Taiwan.
• We took over 100 players to play in a tournament in Coffs Harbor
• We purchase water coolers for Runcorn State high School – we are also doing a similar thing at Hibiscus Stadium a nd Calamvale Community College but we are waiting for approval from Council from both venues
• Had some truly amazing break up parties including 2 Coaches games which were great fun for both the coaches, families and Spector’s.
• Had four half time games for our u8/10 players at NBL1 games where everyone who wore Rockets gear received vouchers for free food.
• We did free Basketball programs both Warrigal Road and MacGregor State Primary schools
During the AGM, we will be presenting a detailed financial report that has been reviewed and signed off by an external Auditor which provides transparency into all our financial transactions.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to each and every one of you. This past year has been truly amazing, and we were only able to achieve this though your collective efforts and dedication to both your children and the club.
Your support has been invaluable, and we look forward to continuing this journey with your children together.
