Well that is the 2023 Basketball year finished and there were so many fantastic things occurred, I will recap on them next week in our newsletter.

Registrations – changes

This notification is about registrations for 2024 is now available. Some changes, instead of the previous family registration fee of $45 per year, the new approach o help families is to have $15 onto the registration fee for each participant as the family registration was getting missed a lot and as volunteers we did not have the time to follow up on these. On top of this for additional support for families we have increased our family discount for two children and above to 15% of our fee. It will look the same as this year with Basketball Qld, Southwest Metro and our fees all together, please remember Basketball Qld are a yearly fee and if you register in the first season of the year you do not pay that fee again. There is also now a $5.00 fee to Basketball Australia.

We will have our new training schedule on the web site hopefully next week. You will see Calamvale Community College is not on our training list as they are doing their floors during Term 1. But we do have a wide and varied range of venues and times.

Coaches

Once the schedule is up please contact your coordinator and advise if you have a preference for any training time, day or age group. As always we will try to accommodate as much as possible.

Just a reminder there is a Club Level Coaches Course on the be times and dates.

This course will cover the practical component on court and there will also be a theory component online, that will take about 30-45min to complete. Which can be done at your own pace.

This is a great opportunity to get all of your new and uncredited Coaches their Club level Accreditation.

The cost of the course will be $50, which we will invoice the Coach directly. Rockets will pay half the fee just send us the invoice and your bank details.
